Program’s profile
«Geography» course’s students receive necessary knowledge and skills for educational qualification «Geography teacher». Specialists on Geography have all requested knowledge in Physics, Social and economic Geography, Pedagogy, and Psychology. In the process of education students take part in different societies and problem groups, which are interested in the questions of Geographical problems of different regions of Ukraine.
Laboratory lessons are hold by using of modern equipment and program ensuring, such as computers for testing and laboratory works defense. Different field and cameral work are accomplished by students while educational and pedagogical practice. As well they introduce with territory of Ukraine geographical development’s peculiarities (Ukrainian Carpathian, Black and Asov seas’ coasts and so on), acquire habits for teaching Geography at educational establishments of different levels of accreditation.
General educational program amount is – 240 ECTS credits. where Humanities and Social and Economical training– 77 cr., Natural Science training– 53 cr., professional and practice training– 110 cr.

Well-grounded knowledge in Humanities, Physics, Social and Economical geographical disciplines, brunch and special geographic theories, teaching of which is based on the possibility of practical use of gotten theoretical knowledge at general secondary schools of Ukraine.

Skills to use professional – profiled knowledge and practical skills on fundamental disciplines while teaching Geography in educational establishments of different level. Skills to use different methods, and skills for mixed geographical thematic teaching. Skills to make evaluation, interpretation and synthesis of information received from different sources.
