He was born in July 1964 in Ohmativ village of Zhashkiv district in Cherkassy region. In 1989 he graduated from O.M. Gorkiy Uman Agrarian Institute as an agronomist.
In 1997 after his postgraduate studies he successfully defended his dissertation ‘Soil fertility and apple garden productivity under different cultivating systems in Central Forest Steppe of Ukraine.
He has been working at Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University since 1999. He received the degree of an associate professor in 2000.
He published over 90 scientific works and educational supplies textbooks, in particular he is one of the authors of the educational supplies textbooks ‘General biology’ (2003), ‘Biology’ (2007) approved by Ministry of Science and Education of Ukraine.
He teaches the courses ‘Soil Science’, ‘Soil Geography’, ‘Radiobiology’, and ‘Biotechnology’.
