Sovgira Svitlana Vasylivna
Ph.D. in Pedagogics, Professor, the head of the Chemistry and Ecology teaching techniques subdepartment
She was born on March 4, 1963 in Uman of Cherkassy region. In 1984 she graduated Pavlo Tychyna Uman state pedagogical university, majoring in Biology and received the qualification of comprehensive secondary school biology teacher.
She has been working at the University since 1996. In 1999 she defended her dissertation ‘Preparation of a feature teacher for ecological education of senior school pupils’.
Since October 17, 2002 she has been appointed an associate professor of geography and ecology subdepartment. In 2010 she defended her Ph.D. dissertation ‘Theoretical-methodological foundations of the ecological view of the world of higher education pedagogical establishments future teachers’. Since December 23, 2011 she has become Professor of Chemistry and Ecology subdepartment.
She is one of the co-founders and co-managers of the research laboratory ‘Ecology and edication’ on the basis of which 5 state budget topics were being researched.
She is one of the organizers, editing the annual collection of scientific publications ‘Scientific supplies of UDPU Ecology Laboratory’ (№ 1–15).
She is the author of more than 290 scientific articles and education supplies textbooks, in particular two textbooks ‘Ecology teaching techniques’ (2007), ‘Technology and arrangements of nature protecting measures’ (2011), and two educational supplies textbooks ‘Nature protection: problems of saving energy’ (2010), and ‘Ecology: planting of greenery’ (2010) recommended by Ministry of Science and Education.
